Studio Directors

Darius and Jolanta Mosteika have been dancing together since 1986. As teenagers in Lithuania, they held the title of Lithuanian Amateur Standard and 10-Dance Champions in 1990, 1991, 1992.

After emigrating to the United States in 1992, they consistently placed in the top 2 couples at the U.S. National Professional Standard Championships until their retirement in the year 2000. They were 7 times undefeated Fred Astaire International Standard Champions. In addition, they were the United States representatives to the World Championships from 1995 through 2000. Other titles include victories at the 1998 North American Standard Championship, Rising Star Champions at the 1995 International Championships in London, England and champions of all major dancesport championships across the country in between. They were repeatedly semifinalists at the World Professional Standard Dance Championships.

The Mosteikas are know across the country for their stellar and championship performances at the Ohio Star Ball, winning the Show Dance Division of the 1998 and 1999, which is televised nationally on PBS. In addition, they can be seen in the feature films Dance With Me, Strictly Ballroom, and the original Japanese film Shall We Dance, which is being remade in English starring Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez.

In addition, they are sought after coaches and judges nationwide. They are members of the Fred Astaire National Dance Council and of the National Dance Council of America. Darius has published several articles on competing and competitions in leading industry newspapers and magazines.


Valerij Grebenin born in Lithuania, began studying dance at an early age and has been a dance instructor for several years. In 2000, he was granted the distinguished "associate" title from the Council of the United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing, and was a member of the Lithuanian Union of Dance Sport Professionals. Val holds a bachelor's degree in Ballroom Dance Coaching and offers instruction to a wide range of students, from beginners to those preparing for competition. Before coming to this country, Val also did advanced training in sports psychology.

Val believes in an engaged and dynamically based method of teaching. And above all, it should be fun.
